When it comes to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, there are various licensing options available to you: Sales Professional, Sales Enterprise, Sales Premium and Team Member. Dynamics 365 Sales Professional
Dynamics 365 Sales Professional is the lower-tier license for the Sales application. It enables businesses to get started with the capabilities they need initially and is often better suited for those with less complex needs.

Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise
Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise is the mid-tier license for the Sales application which offers more capabilities than Sales Professional. It is best suited for businesses that need more than just standard CRM capabilities as it provides customisation, extensibility, embedded intelligence, manual forecasting, and several other features that are exclusive to this license type in comparison to Professional.

Dynamics 365 Team Member
Dynamics 365 Team Member license is a basic license, best suited for businesses who have ‘light’ users of the Dynamics 365 solution. Microsoft recognised that most organisations have a set of users who require limited access to the applications and just perform simple tasks like entering timesheets or updating records, so do not require full user capabilities. Through a Team Member license, users have full read access across the Dynamics 365 applications, however, they are restricted to the activities they can perform.
Cost: £6.60 per user/month

- Add or remove connections for accounts and contacts
- Associate marketing lists with accounts or contacts
- Phone call, appointment and task activities and notes
- Dynamics 365 Mobile client app (online only)

Restricted customisation capability, including:
- Create, read, update and delete contacts, activities, and notes
- Access Team Member model-driven apps only

Licensing Rules
Dynamics 365 Sales Enterprise and Dynamics 365 Sales Professional offer different capabilities. It is not possible to deploy both Enterprise and Professional in the same environment.
Storage Capacity
The first Base license for a Dynamics 365 product includes its default capacity, which is shared per tenant:

Request Limits and Allocations

Migrating from Sales Professional to Sales Enterprise
As previously covered, Dynamics 365 Sales Professional is targeted at businesses that have simpler sales needs and do not require full sales capabilities.
