As a Microsoft Gold Partner, we specialise in designing and developing Bespoke CRM systems and Custom Business Solutions built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and the Power Platform. To give an insight into how these solutions can support businesses, we discuss the technology in the following article and provide insight into the various opportunities that the Microsoft eco-system provides.

What is Microsoft Dynamics 365?

Over the years, businesses have become increasingly familiar with applications such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Teams and the rest of the Microsoft 365 (previously Office 365) suite. However, a part of the Microsoft eco-system that some people may not be familiar with is Microsoft Dynamics 365. Here at Pragmatiq, we specialise in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) element to Dynamics 365; designing and developing bespoke solutions built on the cloud platform.

The best way to explain what Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM consists of, is that it is a suite of intelligent tools that solve business needs, centered around customer relationships.

We recognise that often, when businesses hear the term ‘CRM’, it is traditionally associated with Sales, Customer Service and Marketing. Whilst many of our client projects do have requirements which include these traditional elements, there are a large majority which also do not. For those scenarios, the Power Platform is then the go-to technology we would utilise.

What is the Microsoft Power Platform?

The Microsoft Power Platform is a suite of ‘low-code’ solutions, comprising of Power BI, Power Apps, Power Apps Portals, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agents. Each of these tools is designed to support your business in different ways from analysing business data, automating workflows, building custom applications and more.

Part of the beauty of the Power Platform, is that it enables us to build a whole variety of business solutions, in a fully bespoke way, moulded completely around a business’s workflows, processes and requirements. Without understanding this potential, businesses may be ruling themselves out of a solution, which does in fact suit their business.

Essentially, the Power Platform is encompassing all the gaps that maybe a traditional CRM solution doesn’t quite tick the box with. These solutions really enable us to plug the gaps a business might be facing and allow us to solve a much broader range of business challenges. We regularly implement these types of solutions for a variety of clients, such as those for a healthcare training provider, a local mental health organisation, social care provider and membership organisation, to name but a few.

What is the cost of these solutions?

To touch upon costs, it is often thought that a Bespoke CRM and/or associated applications, is going to cost tens of thousands of pounds, and whilst there are certainly clients that have a need to spend that amount (due to size, complexity of the project, etc) there are lots of use cases to build and develop a bespoke solution at a much more reasonable price.

Hopefully this article has given you a high-level understanding into the potential that the Microsoft eco-system provides, whether your requirements sit within the realms of CRM, or you have other business challenges that you think technology could solve. With the right partner and platform, you can really start to transform how you work and ensure the technology you use, supports you both today and in the future.
