Timeline announced for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform 2022 Release Wave 1!
It’s that time of year again when Microsoft Partners and customers eagerly await the Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform wave release notes, to find out what new features and capabilities will be landing in the coming months. Microsoft has now announced the timeline for the first major update of the year; Dynamics 365 and Power Platform 2022 Release Wave 1.
January 25th 2022: Release Plans Available
On January 25th 2022, the Wave 1 Release Plans will be made available, detailing an initial list of the features and capabilities rolling out from October. In previous releases, any legacy features that are going to be deprecated are also stated within the release plans. With early visibility of the upcoming changes, Partners and customers can prepare for what’s to come with plenty of time.
January 31st 2022: Early Access Available
From January 31st 2022, Wave 2 Early Access will be available for particular features. This will allow administrators to test certain capabilities in a sandbox instance, before they are automatically enabled in April 2022.
April 1st 2022: General Availability
Deployment of the 2021 Release Wave 1 will commence on April 1st 2022 and continue until September 2022. A more detailed schedule of the rollout and regional deployment dates will be published nearer the time, which we will continue to monitor and update you on.
