At Pragmatiq, we view Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as an essential part of our mission. We are committed to making a positive impact on the local community and contributing to the wellbeing of society. Through various initiatives, we aim to support environmental sustainability, promote diversity and inclusion, and encourage innovation for social good. We believe that businesses have a responsibility not only to generate profit but also to act as a force for positive change, aligning our success with the betterment of the world around us.

Impact Highlights

We have continued to prioritise CSR as an integral part of our business strategy, recognising that the success of our company is closely connected to the well-being of the communities we serve and the planet we share.

From the charitable work we’ve undertaken over the years, to the workplace initiatives we have implemented, we are committed to continuously working towards becoming a more sustainable and inclusive workplace.

Ecologi: Tree Planting Initiative

Sustainability is at the heart of our values, and we are dedicated to reducing our environmental impact. So far, our total stands at 80 trees planted through our partnership with Ecologi, helping offset our carbon footprint and contribute to global reforestation efforts.

Volunteering Hours and Community Engagement

In previous years, our team volunteered over 43 hours to support local initiatives, including Ride High, Work tree, and Deanshanger Hedgehog Rescue. In June, we helped prepare Ride High’s premises for a major event, which was also a great team-building opportunity.

We were also recognised in Worktree’s Small Companies League Table, proudly ranking 14th for volunteer hours contributed.

Hybrid Workforce & Eco-Friendly Business Practices

As an eco-conscious company, we have continued to embrace a hybrid workforce model, reducing commuting and contributing to lowering our carbon emissions. We continually strive to implement sustainable business practices, such as minimising paper usage, reducing waste, and encouraging energy-efficient working environments. In addition, we have set goals to further reduce our environmental footprint, including reducing business travel and promoting digital-first communication strategies.

Our Charity of the Year

Throughout previous years, we have been proud to partner with Ride High, an organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of disadvantaged young people through horse riding and equine-related activities. Supporting Ride High allowed us to contribute to their mission of helping young individuals build confidence, develop essential life skills, and improve their emotional well-being.

During our time supporting the organisation, the team took part in a range of fundraising activities, including quiz nights, themed challenges such as our October fundraiser, and food bank collections. These initiatives helped raise funds and awareness for the important work Ride High carries out for children aged 8–17 in Milton Keynes.

This year, we are supporting Place2Be and look forward to raising funds for such an incredible charity and the vital work they do supporting children’s mental health and wellbeing.

Fundraising Events 2024 & 2025

Pragmatiq Mileage Challenge

Towards the end of 2025, we launched our Miles Challenge – a month‑long initiative encouraging the team to walk, run, swim, cycle, or move in any way they liked to rack up as many miles as possible. From lunchtime strolls and weekend hikes to extra laps in the pool, every mile contributed to Ride High.

Milton Keynes 5K Run

We kicked off 2025 with some of the team taking part in a 5K run around Milton Keynes. The team chipped in with donations and had a go at guessing who’d be first across the finish line – It was a great way to bring the team together and raise money for a brilliant cause.

Food Bank Collection

We regularly contribute to the MK Food Bank and in 2024, in partnership with Ride High, we donated essential food items for those in need as part of the MK Can Event.

Quiz Night Fundraiser

Our Quiz Night Fundraiser in April 2024 raised £320, which was matched through the Big Give Campaign, bringing the total to £680. These funds directly supported Ride High’s programs to help local children in need, making a significant impact on the charity’s ability to offer services to young people.

Challenge October Fundraiser

In October 2024, we raised £266 for Ride High through the ’68 Miles Challenge,’ which was match-funded, bringing the total to £532. Over four weeks, the Pragmatiq team walked, ran, swam, and cycled, with every mile contributing towards funds for Ride High. This initiative was a great way to get active while contributing to a worthy cause.

Recognition and Awards

Throughout the years, Pragmatiq have received several awards to celebrate our business growth, company culture and excellent customer service. Our recent recognition includes Finalist for Best Technology Partner alongside James’ Place at the Charity IT Leaders Awards 2025, Winner of Employee of the Year at the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Awards 2025, Finalist in Service Excellence at the SME MK & Buckinghamshire Awards 2025, and Finalists for Customer Service at the Milton Keynes Business Achievement Awards 2025.
